Paragon - Model of Excellence

On our path of awakening the warrior within you, we focus on improving or reinforcing three pillars of Transformative Purpose: Body, Mind, & Spirit.

I want to introduce you to one of our Reforged Paragons, Brian.

He executes on this by training hard, working on improving himself mentally & spiritually, while helping others do the same.Brian is very passionate about the health & fitness industry and makes it his mission to perform his best in all aspects of health and fitness.

Since he has been a part of the Reforged Legion, we have watched him pull some big numbers in his favorite form of fitness: Powerlifting.

Not too long ago, he pulled a 600lb Deadlift at 195 lbs.

This means he has pulled 3 times his weight.

A lot of people will look at his progress today, not noticing the 5+ years of consistent exercise - showing up 4-5 times per week to put in work.

Regardless of if he was "feeling it" or not, he would put in work.

Even on the days where he was only feeling 50%, he gave 100% of that 50%.

The consistency led him to find this impressive level of strength.

Today, Brian prepares to compete in a Powerlifting meet... and we believe he has the potential to be a champion powerlifter.

One of Brian's favorite Reforged elixirs to use is Impulse. Impulse is our nootropic energy drink mix that aids in focus in concentration. While Brian has supplemented with our full-spectrum pre-workout Catalyst, he personally uses it as a last resort and only if he's completely exhausted.

He is currently supplementing with our Post-Workout elixir Synergy and will let us know how it goes.

I wanted to showcase Brian because he is just like a lot of YOU: he seeks fitness for Deep Health - for mind, body, and spirit. He uses fitness to better himself in all aspects of his life.

Whether you are pulling some big numbers like him, or just getting started on your fitness journey... we are here for you throughout the way - just like I was when he first started strength training with myself and my little brother.

If you're struggling to find time for health & fitness with your 1 million obligations... we will help you find a way.

If you're struggling with eating to match your fitness goals... we will help you optimize this.

If you're struggling to find a specific purpose in life - let us help you use fitness to get your mind and body right so that you can find this within yourself.

I can't wait to see what you will become.

Until next time Reforged Warrior!

7 Ways To Get Off The Couch & Exercise When You Are Depressed

When you're depressed, even when you're not expending a lot of energy... you don't feel like you have any energy to spare to begin with.

It can be aggravating to hear that you need to work out to boost your endorphins, (or whatever your friends say to you).

In reality, they aren't wrong... but how can you exercise if you can't even get out of bed?

Is there something wrong with us?

Absolutely not. This happens with depression.

The thing with depression is that your whole body may feel like it is against you... and it's very frustrating.

I've been there.

But I was forced to work out once I committed to it because of an accountability partner I had.

In this post, we are going to go over some ways that may help you get off the couch when your mind & body are against you.

Hydration is paramount to your health and wellbeing.

When I worked my previous management job, I ran three rental car branches simultaneously at a time where one of the other managers was gone for over a month.

I would try to get my water in regularly, but the locations were incredibly busy. You would always find me at the front desk with customers swarming in.

This played a large part in my stress and I never knew it did until I found a way to actually get drink more water.

In this short post, we are going to go over why hydration is essential for mental health.

Let's dive in!

The Inactivity Trap: Where Depression and Physical Inactivity Collide
The Inactivity Trap: Where Depression and Physical Inactivity Collide

by Tony Gjokaj September 08, 2021 3 min read

When I was overweight, I was inactive, depressed, and had insomnia.

I would isolate myself from social interaction, which led me down a dark path where I contemplated suicide.

Eventually, fitness was my salvation, as physical activity led to me sleeping better, eating better, feeling better, and thinking better.

Prior to exercise, I was stuck in what was deemed an Inactivity Trap.

So in this post, we are going to go over an article that was written in 2009 with the same name, called "The Inactivity Trap". This article included studies that supported their claims from a psychological standpoint which intrigued me as well.

So let's dive into what the Inactivity Trap is.
